How to Try Multiple Home Fragrances Without Getting Nose Fatigue

A must-visit fashion shop this summer in 2025. You’ll get to experience all  Airy home Fragrances in person. But I admit, trying them all at once can be overwhelming.

So, how do you explore all scents without nose fatigue? Here are some expert tips from the perfumers to help you find your favourite with ease.

 

1. Smell Above the Reeds, Not Into Them

Lean in close, but not too close. Hold your nose about 3–4 cm above the diffuser reeds. It’s the sweet spot where the scent travels naturally. Avoid dipping your face in; it’ll overwhelm your nose in seconds.

2. Don’t Rush — Wait 30–60 Seconds Before the Next One

Smelling too fast can be overwhelming. Don’t worry, no one’s going to rush you out. I usually suggest taking a 30–60 second pause before trying the next one. You can also try a few scents first, then browse the fashion or jewellery pieces from global artists, and come back later to double-check your favourite.

3. Can’t Smell Anything Anymore? Smell Your Skin

It’s normal to feel overwhelmed after a few scents. Try sniffing your own skin, sleeve, or shirt. It’s a simple trick that neutralises your scent memory and resets your nose. The easiest method I always use — and what most perfumers do too.

 

4. Try My Summer Picks If You Can’t Decide:

• Velvet Embrace 韻 – Jasmine tea with a soft floral twist. Some customers said it is a bit similar to Jo Malone’s English Pear & Freesia.

• Blissful Harmony 悅 – Green tea and bergamot for that clean, calming feel. If you like Miller Harris’s Tea scents, you’ll probably love this one too.
