Inside a Luxury Flat That Just Won Gold Winner at the 2025 London Design Awards, And Smells as Good as It Looks

I am honoured to share the story behind a beautifully designed home that just won Gold Winner at the 2025 London Design Awards.

This luxury high-rise flat, designed for a corporate executive and his two adult children, is not only a renovation but a transformation of space, routine, and emotion.

The layout was rebalanced to reflect real life, where solitude, togetherness, and hospitality each have their own rhythm. A palette of navy, gold, and soft neutrals creates a sense of low-key sophistication throughout.

I’m proud to share that the client, Jeff, chose Airy Fragrances to add a second layer to his newly renovated home.

As he told us:

“I really love these diffusers,they feel just as luxurious as the renovation itself. And my children always notice them when they come home from abroad. They always ask where you get them.”

Grounding Scents for an Open Living Room

Forest Breath 森 or Serene Solstice 寧 Reed Diffuser

 

The living space in Jeff’s flat is open, warm, and beautifully layered. With curved ceilings, ambient lighting, and a carefully edited navy-and-gold palette, the room feels both elegant and serene.

To bring calm and balance to this shared space, Jeff alternates between 2 grounding scents: Forest Breath or Serene Solstice, depending on the mood.

“They feel calming, grounding, and never too strong. Guests always ask what we’re using.”

• Forest Breath 森 blends hinoki, rose, and gardenia, like a breeze through a cedar forest.

• Serene Solstice 寧 is fresher, with Japanese rose, olibanum, and eucalyptus perfect for clean, elegance.

Both work beautifully in larger rooms where you want a scent that gently fills the air without overpowering. And visually, the golden tones of the diffuser oil look stunning against the navy palette, a small but satisfying detail.

Calming Diffuser for a Sophisticated Bedroom

悅 Etsu: Green Tea & Gardenia

Each bedroom was redesigned for both rest and personal space. Walk-in wardrobes and study corners were added without crowding the room.

To keep the mood soft and uplifting, Jeff chose 悅 Etsu, an airy green tea and gardenia blend.

“It’s subtle but instantly changes the mood. my daughter adore it so much”

悅 Etsu is a scent that lingers gently in the background, perfect for bedrooms where you want calm, without anything too floral or too sweet. It’s elegant in its simplicity.

 

A Scent That Makes the Bathroom Feel Like a Spa

優 Yū: Osmanthus & White Tea

To complete the spa-like atmosphere, Jeff chose 優 Yū, a Kyoto-inspired blend of osmanthus, white tea, soft musk, and a touch of vanilla.

“It’s honestly unlike anything I’ve smelled before.
Soft, fresh, expensive ,but not overly perfumey.”

優 Yū is perfect for bathrooms and entryways, spaces where you want the scent to feel subtle, refreshing, and luxurious.
